For the images of the trees, I found two file formats to produce the highest quality. The first was the JPG-high setting, and the second was the PNG-24 setting. The differences between the two were small and barely noticeable. The JPG would be better for file size.
For the bus, I found three files to work well. The GIF-64 with no dither, the JPG-high and the PNG-24 were all similarly crisp. The JPG would be best for saving a low file size. In general, it seems that JPG and PNG are the best for all around file types, where JPG is better bang for your size while PNG in all out quality with a greater size compromise.
